March Update - Trees Felled Footpath Construction Starts

As late February gave way to early March, the railway extension project saw a heightened sense of urgency. The critical task at hand was the removal of trees before the bird nesting season commenced, and thanks to the effective collaboration with our ecology specialist, all necessary tree felling was successfully completed within the allotted time frame.

In addition to this vital milestone, substantial headway has been achieved in the construction of the new footpath. This footpath will run along the embankment's base, running parallel to the emerging railway infrastructure. Once completed, it promises a one-of-a-kind perspective for passengers departing from the new Leek station as they embark on the journey up to Ipstones.
