May Update Progress Continues, But Concerns Arise
As significant portions of the footpath near completion and fencing installation underway, there's optimism in the air. However, a disappointing incident has given cause for concern. In a span of less than 24 hours, some sections of the newly installed fencing have already sustained damage. While we hope this is an isolated incident, it does raise questions about the project's future.
In other developments, work on laying ballast on the North-East triangle chord is progressing well. During this phase, our dedicated contractors at Moss Civils made an intriguing discovery - the remains of an old water well. Preliminary observations suggest that this well likely served the former steam shed located within the triangle at Leekbrook Junction, based on the piping arrangements found.
As we move forward with this project, we remain committed to overcoming challenges and preserving the historical significance of the area. Stay tuned for more updates as we navigate this exciting journey.
